(The Skin I Live In) by Almodovar, who was labeled “the women’s director” with his previous movies, including “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown” and “Volver,” will star Banderas as lead actor. The filming is set to begin today.

The movie, based on French author Thierry Jonquet’s novel “Tarantula,” centers on a famous plastic surgeon whose wife dies tragically in a traffic accident and his efforts to produce human skin.

The shooting will take 11 weeks, and it will star Marisa Paredes, Elena Anaya, Jan Cornet and Robert Alamo along with Banderas. The last time Banderas starred in an Almodovar movie was in 1990, when he played Ricky in “Atame!” (Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down!). Prior to that, he appeared in four other Almodovar movies.

"I consider Prague to be one of the most charming and mysterious city," recalled the filming of 1992 Banderas, while last year in Karlovy Vary IFF Award took over the festival's president. Vary also introduced in his second directorial achievement Summer Rain, valued at the Berlinale in 2007, but otherwise adopted rather inconsistent. "I tried the message of the film, not about what will be sales," he says calmly always smiling and helpful Banderas, whose favorite director is Orson Welles.

He's celebrating the big five zero next month but there really is NO excuse for film hunk Antonio Banderas to look so uncool.

The Mask Of Zorro actor chose a little scooter to get around the Catalunya Grand Prix at Montmelo, near Barcelona, Spain.

And his Puss In Boots character from Shrek would definitely not have been impressed as the star put-putted around the MotoGP event wearing a trilby.

There was no sign of his wife Melanie Griffith as he enjoyed the Spanish sunshine with some glamorous racegoers.

But given his mode of transport, that was hardly surprising. Banderas spends a lot of time in his home country and owns a half share in a winery in northern Spain.
