Antonio Banderas' Big Bang Antonio Banderas will star in Big Bang, a noir-ish detective story that will begin shooting in Spokane, Washington in September. Tony Krantz will direct. Banderas will play a Los Angeles-based private eye who is hired to locate a missing stripper.
He ends up in a New Mexico desert following a trail of bodies. Banderas' detective will tangle with a Russian boxer, three LAPD detectives, and an aging billionaire with designs on perfecting the nuclear physics equivalent of the Big Bang Theory. The film will mark Krantz's feature film debut. He served as an agent with CAA for 15 years before heading Imagine TV.
In other Banderas-related news, Nicole Kidman has dropped out of the currently-untitled Woody Allen film which Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, and Josh Brolin are set to star in. The film is on track to shoot in London during the summer. No reason for Kidman's exit has been revealed. A replacement has not yet been named, either.
