JOHN Travolta, Antonio Banderas, Roberto Benigni and Heather Graham are just a few big name stars who have suffered the indignity of having their films judged as the worst of the worst.

In a top 100 list compiled by film criticism aggregator, titles like Battlefield Earth, Pinocchio and Killing Me Softly have been named and shamed.

But the ultimate dishonour was saved for a relatively unknown action stinker starring Antonio Banderas and Lucy Lui.

The title? Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever.  The 2002 film, which was promoted with the dubious tagline “Your most dangerous enemies are the friends you've double-crossed”, tells the story of an FBI Agent who joins forces with a rogue agent in order to defeat a mutual enemy.

In his review of the film, The Chicago Sun-Times’ Roger Ebert (who gave it half-a-star out of a possible four stars) wrote: “The movie is a chaotic mess, overloaded with special effects and explosions, light on continuity, sanity and coherence.”

Stephen Hunter from The Washington Post made a few kind observations about star Lucy Lui looking good in black leather before calling Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever, “a movie every bit as stupid as its exceedingly stupid title”. gives films percentages representing how they were received by critics from print, broadcast and online publications.

Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever earned a big fat 0%, meaning that not even one critic gave it a single thumb up.  Other movies on the list which failed to register even one percentage point include Japanese horror film remake One Missed Call, National Lampoon’s Gold Diggers, Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 and Witless Protection.
