Actor Antonio Banderas has confirmed that his Shrek character Puss In Boots will have his own spin-off film.
The actor will take on the role once again for the new movie opposite Salma Hayek and Zach Galifianakis. Banderas said:
'I did the first recordings and it's going to be called Puss In Boots it starts when he was little. He was in an orphanage.
When he first discovered his effect on people, that's when he starts being intelligent.' Banderas' character has appeared.
In all three of the Shrek movies and will return for the final flick, Shrek Forever After, later this year. The actor added:
The fact they gave me a character for the use of my voice only was surprising, but I suppose I have an accent that is recognisable and they thought it was perfect. Because I had been playing characters that were bigger than life, heroic, stuff like that, putting it into a tiny body of a pussy cat was fun.'
